I went to an iced tea art party this afternoon at the Launchpad Gallery here in Portland. This month's artist extraordinaire is the be-whiskered painter Brent Wear, shown here in front of one of his paintings.

Yeah, I had known his birds from seeing them around previously, but these new abstract pieces are a cool direction for him to take, they're very calming to view in person.
