@hankbobs - He's stiff and sore, but recovering well. He said the first couple of nights were rough, but he slept relatively well on the third night and hopes for continues improvement. Not bad, considering he was hit by a car. I hope I function so well when I'm 80.

great to hear he's ok. my gdad had a big car accident when he was late 70's, broke his back and was on pain meds the rest of his life; he never really got over it. Really glad to hear yours got lucky, bodies get pretty fragile at those ages.
